The most amazing event of our lives has happened! Our son, Evan Joseph Schlosser, arrived on Monday, July 27, 2009 at 10:10pm. He weighed 7lbs 4oz and was 21" long. I was about a week overdue so they induced me. After about 12 hours of contractions and waiting (thank you epidural) we began pushing. About 2 hours later he was born and our lives and hearts are changed forever!
Here you can see the family right after he was born. Wow, I look worn out!! He came out wide-eyed, beautiful color, but not crying at all! We are lucky to have such a wonderful, content little guy! Life is great!
Here are the grandparents. My parents on the left, Joe's parents on the right.
After a bit extended stay in the hospital because of my fevers, we finally headed home on Saturday, August 1! Evan likes the fresh air and being outside!
Grandma Sue-Sue gave Evan his first bath. He didn't like it much because we woke him up for it from a very short catnap.
However, as you can see, he loved being wrapped up in a comfy towel afterwards! This is the first big smile we captured on film.
Finally a family picture outside of the hospital! Here Evan is about 10 days old. So small, but so cuddly and good!!
