Evan Joseph Schlosser has arrived!

The most amazing event of our lives has happened! Our son, Evan Joseph Schlosser, arrived on Monday, July 27, 2009 at 10:10pm. He weighed 7lbs 4oz and was 21" long. I was about a week overdue so they induced me. After about 12 hours of contractions and waiting (thank you epidural) we began pushing. About 2 hours later he was born and our lives and hearts are changed forever!

Here you can see the family right after he was born. Wow, I look worn out!! He came out wide-eyed, beautiful color, but not crying at all! We are lucky to have such a wonderful, content little guy! Life is great!

Here are the grandparents. My parents on the left, Joe's parents on the right.

After a bit extended stay in the hospital because of my fevers, we finally headed home on Saturday, August 1! Evan likes the fresh air and being outside!

Grandma Sue-Sue gave Evan his first bath. He didn't like it much because we woke him up for it from a very short catnap.

However, as you can see, he loved being wrapped up in a comfy towel afterwards! This is the first big smile we captured on film.

Finally a family picture outside of the hospital! Here Evan is about 10 days old. So small, but so cuddly and good!!

Final Baby Shower - Elva's House

I had ANOTHER baby shower on June 20th. My friend, Elva, threw it for me and a lot of P&Gers, mainly.
Of course my mom and sister/step-sisters came, too. The theme was "pamper the mom-to-be" because I pretty much got everything I could ever need at my other showers!!!

The date of this shower was 6/20/09... exactly one month before the baby is due!!!

Only 6 weeks to go! 34 Week Ultrasound

We had our 34 week appointment today and got to see our baby again!! He/she looks totally healthy! Every appointment is a relief for us!

The baby's head is down already, so hopefully we don't have to worry about breech. Also, I think the baby is weighing in around 5lbs 9ozs at this point. Doc said if I go full term the baby will be in the high 7lbs. Wish us luck!!! Can't wait!! It is becoming real!!

Trot, Trot to Boston! Last Babymoon!!

We made our last out of town trip together before we have a little one to tow with us! I had a business meeting on Thurs/Fri, so Joe joined me up in Boston on Friday night. Really, it was a bit touristy (walked the Freedom Trail) and relaxing (good dinners) for the weekend. The weather was PERFECT!

Here you can see us heading out to dinner in front of our hotel. I am at the end of my 33rd week of pregnancy!! WOW! I am showing here!

We also stopped in Cambridge to see Harvard. Here you can see a blurry pic of us in front of Memorial Hall.

Schlosser Family Baby Shower

On May 30th, Joe's family threw me an awesome baby shower. It was down in Clifton in the lower level of "Olive's" restaurant. His family truly spoiled me (and the baby!) We had a really nice time and most of the kids in the family attended as well. Thanks to Aunt Mary for hosting, and everyone who helped out! We are just about ready for this little one to arrive!! Yippee!! Ony about 7 weeks!

Here I am with the proud Grandmas!!!

2nd Trimester is Finished! YIKES!

So, we are about finished with the 26th week... only about 13-14 weeks to go until we meet our new baby! As you can tell in this picture I am clearly pregnant (although it is funny how some people avoid the subject if they aren't sure!)

Everything is going well with the pregnancy! Feeling great, doctor says baby is healthy, I am feeling him/her plenty, and Joe & I are getting the house prepared! We feel so blessed with our health, family and friends!! THANKS EVERYONE!!

First Baby Shower!

On April 5th my sisters threw me my first baby shower here in Cincinnati. So many people made it! I felt so lucky to have so many friends and family at my home to celebrate! Everyone brought a book for the baby, so we have an awesome library started!

We are getting ready for this little one!! Can't wait to meet him or her in just 3 months!!
